EDGING

EDGING

Edging (breathing exercise and visualization technique executed during S-4) is certainly a strange little place.

I fell asleep during EDGING last night (thank you.)

My elbow fell off the edge of the table (maybe this is why its called edging) and I just caught myself an instant before my head hit the desk. It was somewhat startling.

At any rate…suggestions Glenn… on how you should focus your awareness during this exercise. Should you be focusing intently on trying to see the target, or just trying to relax into it, or let your mind wander.

I’ve had my best target contact during this manuever, but its a weird place, filled with random disjointed images. Sometimes I get the target, and just as I’m getting the image to clear up I try too hard and it becomes almost over exposed and goes away.

Edging is a very little place. The intent is to begin the drop from alert beta down through alpha on your way to theta. It is here where you will pick up your monitor on most skeds. Once you ease down and hit theta you are out of edging and into S5. Once theta is under management a dialog is begun and data is solicited. Edging is your low alpha contact. The images that form have different qualities depending on their origin. What actually occurs is a bounce dive from low alpha edging to theta. The viewer in processing information from the monitor usually pops back up to edging quality low alpha, upon looking for data a short bounce dive to theta occurs, this cycle repeats itself. When you learn to function at this low level you really only have to do the drop 1 exercise to hit theta again. A cycle can be established and continued until the viewer can no longer drop due to fatigue. It takes some practice and training, but is very rewarding both in data and experiential value:) Aloha

Hi Dick,
I couldn’t help myself from laughing at your creative description of “edging.” Being a newbie, I’m not there yet, but when I get there I’ll have a visual of edging and you, ha!
