Natural Ability VS Skill
(*NOTE form Yaana: I have removed names from these posts so that new students will not be uncomfortable asking question, and I can share the answers with everyone)
snip….I am about halfway through Dave Morehouse’s book and I am finding it to be fascinating reading. —– did some inadvertent RV from a video tape that was in the back seat of my car, and it was so accurate that it had to be more than mere coincidence…. It was positively weird. It seems to be happening more and more, or maybe it has always happened and we are just noticing it for the first time….. snip
From this and other events you have described the two of you probably have some natural abilities (superior communication skills) the difference between what you
described and RV is that RV is intentional, you should really love Tagging (an RV side skill)when you get to that part of the training.
To collect accurate data on something you choose to know about requires discipline, to be an open channel (I hate that word) sensitive to erratic telepathic or clairvoyant experiences is a tease to let you know what you are capable of but has no practical application other than entertainment.
As you both develop your RV skills you will be even more amazed. Do not expect to be perfect at the beginning. Many times we have seen naturals leave because they were frustrated that the quality of their class work did not appear to be on a par with their experience of their intuitive skills, but then again they did not have such a rigorous system to test its validity. The biggest difference is that psychics are used to interpreting and adding significance to the information they get to deliver it to their clients, and we are learning to stop interpreting and just collect data. In the beginning it can be a blow to the ego, but necessary to get good data. Internal dialogue will run the gambit from, "do you know who I am
and what my accomplishments are…humph" to who needs this…" and everything in between.
We need to assure our egos that we are not invalidating their previous accomplishments, but we are learning a new skill, professionalizing we could say. Kind of like the difference between being able to drive a car, and going to the Bondrant Driving School, to lean how to drive competitively or defensively. Your
base skills may be good, but it is a humbling experience when you see what is possible and where you are in relationship to the best. Hopefully this will
inspire us to buckle down and work rather than becoming discouraged, but that is an individual choice.
snip…. Anyway, I saw your post on the site and while it may appear that there is disinterest by us "newbies," I can assure you that —- and I are intrigued and excited about the ramifications of what we are learning. The "journey of a thousand miles" has just started with Sunday’s first step. Believe me, you and Glenn have our attention…….snip
Keep up the good work, and know your protocols well, we will see you on Sunday;)
