S3

S3

S3 is intended to be the consolidation of all the target information gathered in VISID, Spontaneous VISID, Playfair, S2 (Nimo Playfair) and S2 Phonics into a single graphic representation of the target using a rapid, spontaneous, intuitive process of organizing the target information on the page. What I find when doing the S3 graphic representation, what flows from my pen is not always the same data that I collected previously. This is not a conscious occurrence. It is as though my hand is being directed by my subconsious and what is recorded often does not correlate with the other visuals and graphic data. Is this appropriate or should I try to “force” the process by rearranging only the data that was collected previously? Aloha, Valtra.

And the other side of that coin. What if you have collected data in your Playfair or Nimo Matrix, and you don’t feel it fits in your S3?

It is a given that every data collection matrix in Playfair and S-2 will contain some contamination. So how do you ferret out the good from the bad and put it all down in S3?

Practice? Superior communication sklls? Having your head hard wired to your butt?

Or maybe its like this: Do about 200 S-3’s. Compare the ones that most clearly represented the target. Recall how you executed the good ones. Then try to do it that way every time.

Aloha Miss Valtra, I understand your problem. S3 is intended to be a consolidation of 4 procedures to a common field, Sometimes we want to approach the S3 as a site sketch and we are driven by the process. That is ok, the value of the previously collected data is not lost if you choose to go for the sketch and not the consolidation. In this instance let your conscious be your guide. Initialy your attempts to sketch at S3 will be poor, but with practice much better. What will happen is the sketch will improve and it will also improve the data from the 4 previous procedures. This is a common problem with people with natural intuitive ability. If you focus it will be clear. Aloha … Glenn
