The wreckage of a sport utility vehicle involved in a two-car accident on June 24, 2000, in Arizona, the cause of which is believed to be tread separation of Firestone Wilderness AT tires. The failure of a Firestone Wilderness AT tire was listed as a probable cause that resulted in a rollover that claimed the life of Irene Telegadis, 57, of Mammoth Lakes, Calif. The accident occurred on Interstate 10 near Marana.
