Ontario Ice Circle Mystery
SOLVED?: Session Data & Analysis

Remote viewers may have found the answer to the question, “Who created the Delta, Ontario Ice Circle?”

Did aliens in UFO’s swoop down in the dead of night and hover over a patch of ice on a farm in Canada to leave a message to humanity? Or was it something more mundane?

In December of 2000 a mysterious circle appeared on a frozen pond in Delta, Ontario, Canada. The circle gave rise to speculation that it was related to the enigmatic crop circles that have been appearing for many years in grain fields in England and other locations around the world. The crop circles have been increasing in complexity, and many believe they are somehow related to the UFO phenomena.

When the ice circle appeared, the speculation about UFOs began immediately. The ice circle was 15 feet across, perfectly round, and cut into the ice covering a creek that ran through farmland in Delta. The following article appeared on the Jeff Rense web site (www.rense.com.), in December 2000:

"Did a UFO visit Delta? That is precisely what Joan LaForty is wondering after discovering a very mysterious impression in the ice on the creek near her home on King Street.

"It's awesome. I've never seen anything like it before in my life," she said.

The narrow creek flows under a culvert, and widens into a small pond area in a field behind the LaForty's barn before flowing into Lower Beverley Lake. A track, about 3 inches wide, forming a perfect circle approximately 15 feet in diameter has been cut into the ice that is covering the creek.

There are no tracks or marks anywhere else on the ice, nothing inside the circle, and nothing around it. On one side, there is a small patch of open water where the creek is flowing around the edge of this mysterious circle mark, otherwise, the entire impression is surrounded by intact ice.

The ice on the surface of the creek is very thin, making it impossible for any person or animal to have walked on it. On the grassy slopes that surround the edges of the water the grass is frosted and completely undisturbed. Joan's husband discovered the mark early on Saturday December 2, about 7:00 a.m. It definitely was not there on Friday evening, so it must have been made in the night or very early morning.

"It's as if something came down from the sky, landed here, and left this track in the ice," Joan explained. "Then it must have taken off again."

Before waking up to find a mark like this so close to home, Joan would not have believed in UFO's. However, now, she is not so sure.

I will admit, this is a very peculiar occurrence. As Joan and I stood there, looking at the mark on the ice, neither of us could imagine how it could have been created. We agree that there is no obvious theory to explain its creation. Realistically, no one would have been out on the creek without Joan, or Jim LaForty knowing about it. The temperature would have been close to -14 degrees Celsius. There are no other tracks anywhere around this highly unusual form and it wasn't there the night before. Unless any readers out there have an explanation, it looks like this is one for the X-files."

This event was cued as a target for remote viewers at the Hawaii Remote Viewers’ Guild. The target was worked “blind” by 9 viewers. (All work done by viewers at HRVG is done blind, meaning the viewers are given absolutely no information as to the nature of the target.) In this case they were not told it involved an ice circle. They were not told it involved a mysterious event. They were simply given a set of random letters/numbers called a Target ID.

The target ID was: T5T5-M1M0. This was the only information given to the viewers. (Note: RF worked the target under a different ID: H6R1-E9Z3. The cue was the same and the work was also done blind.)

In writing the target cue it is important to make no assumptions about the target. For example, this would not be a viable target cue: “Did aliens in UFOs create the ice circle?”

The actual cue used to task the viewers on this project was: DELTA ONTARIO ICE CIRCLE / CREATION EVENT / NEAR PAST.

Nine viewers submitted sessions to the analyst of record, Dick Allgire. No one was given feedback (told the target cue), until after all the sessions were submitted.

This project demonstrates the application of low level consensus analysis. Despite the claims of some in the remote viewing community, no viewer produces 100% accurate data in a given session. That brings up a dilemma for the analyst working to sift through data from multiple viewers. Which data is good, and which is bad? At the Hawaii Remote Viewers’ Guild analysts use two fundamental rules. First, only data corroborated by multiple viewers is given weight in the analysis. If two viewers agree on a data point the analyst can say that data may be correct. If three or more viewers corroborate each other, then the analyst may say with some confidence this feature is at the target. Second, the analysts describes the corroborated data using its lowest possible gestalt, avoiding labels.

In this presentation we will take you through the data, and each stage of the remote viewing protocols, demonstrating how the corroborated data unfolds.

Visual Ideogram

HRVG remote viewers first execute what is called a “visual ideogram.” The protocol has them close their eyes and look very briefly for a visual perception of the overall gestalt of the target.

Five viewers: Lynda, Jan, Jason, RF, and Kathy immediately saw something circular as a major feature at the target. From this the analyst is able to state: “There is a circular feature at this target.”

Multiple viewers also saw a circular shape with perpendicular lines coming off of it. From the corroborated visual data provided by Kathy, Jason, RF, and Jan, the analyst may say: "An aspect of the target involves a circular shape with perpendicular lines.”

In the Playfair data collection matrix, four viewers saw a single human at the target site. This provides the analyst corroborated data, which enables him to say: “There is a single human present at this target.”

The viewers also saw an object or structure with either an “H” shape, or a long thin rectangular shape. Four viewers corroborated this data. Two viewers drew what appears to be some type of sharp or pointed object protruding from one end of the rectangular structure. The analyst may say: “There is an H shaped or long rectangular structure or object present at this target. This structure may have a sharp object protruding from one end.”

The viewers heard and felt wind at the target. This allows the analyst to state: “There is wind present at this target.”

Multiple viewers sensed cold temperatures, which lets the analyst say: “There is a cold temperature associated with the target.”

Four viewers saw manmade structures at the target site. Two viewers heard grinding sounds, which allows the analyst to say, “There may be a grinding sound associated with this target.”

Five viewers felt a “wet” texture in their work. The analyst can report: "There is something wet located at the target."

Two viewers reported smells associated with “farm” and “earth.” Because only two viewers provided this data the analyst may only state that “smells associated with a farm and earth may be present at the target.”

Four viewers sensed some type of dynamic circular or “rolling” energy. This allows the analyst to state: “There is some sort of dynamic energy associated with the circular feature.”

In the final stages of the work the viewers provided data about a single human present at the target. Fred showed us the man’s face. Jan heard him giggling, “he-he-he.” Kathy had him dressed in bulky clothes and boots. RF similarly had him in warm clothes holding what seems to be a long board. Pame also depicted the man with a long, thin object.

Working Notes

After sifting through all the data, the analyst prepares “working notes,” which are statements about the target, based on the corroborated data. Here is a list of working notes for the ice circle target:

·  There is a circular feature at this target.
·  An aspect of the target involves a circular shape with perpendicular
   lines.
·  There is a single human present at this target.
·  There is a rectangular or H-shaped object or structure present at the
   target.
·  The rectangular structure may have a sharp point protruding from one
   end.
·  There is wind present at the target.
·  There is a cold temperature associated with the target.
·  There is a manmade structure at or nearby the target.
·  There may be a grinding sound associated with this target.
·  There is something wet at the target.
·  There may be “farm” or “earthy” smells present at the target.
·  Some type of circular or rolling dynamic energy is associated with the
   circular feature at the target.
·  The single human is a male, possibly dressed in warm clothes,
   holding a long rectangular object.

These statements in the “working notes” can all be traced back to data produced and corroborated by multiple viewers working blind. From this the analyst prepares “scenarios,” using only information that is contained in the working notes.

Scenario

This target involves a single human holding a long rectangular object that may have a sharp point protruding from one end. There is a circular feature to this target, that is associated with some type of circular, or rolling dynamic energy. There may be a grinding sound associated with this target. This target is cold, wet and has an earthy smell.

Conclusion

It appears that the creation of this ice circle involved a man with a long board. One end had a long spike or nail protruding from it, which he tapped into the ice. He then swept the board in a circular fashion, carving out the perfect circle. The exact method of propulsion (how the board was moved around and around) was not revealed by the remote viewing data. That information could be obtained by subcueing the target and retasking the viewers to produce more data.

RF's Session

One viewer, RF, produced some very interesting data that was not completely corroborated by the other viewers. But since his session demonstrates a high level of target contact the data is noteworthy. The following page features RF's depiction of the ice circle creation event. Remember he worked the target blind, given only a target ID, and no hint as to the nature of the target.
